Exciting News!

We are thrilled to announce that Fragile Families NETWORK has been selected to join the Financial Resilience Community Cohort, a prestigious initiative by the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) at NC State University.

As one of the five regional teams chosen, we are honored to be part of this cohort dedicated to enhancing household financial resilience, particularly for communities facing significant barriers to saving and debt management.

Over the next two years, our organization will:

  • Undergo an organizational assessment to identify key capacity-building needs.
  • Collaborate with a support provider to address these needs over 12-18 months.
  • Participate in five semi-annual peer learning meetings—two in-person and three virtual—focused on sharing successes and solving challenges.

We are excited to work alongside other expert organizations in this cohort and contribute to community-level capacity building. Together, we will share our learnings with a statewide audience, inspiring others to scale effective solutions.

Special thanks to IEI for believing in the power of local communities and for giving us this incredible opportunity. Let’s spark action and raise household resilience levels across North Carolina!

Stay tuned for updates on our journey with the Financial Resilience Community Cohort.
